Alabama latest US state to vote on anti-abortion legislation

Senators in the US state of Alabama are voting on a bill which would outlaw almost all abortions in any stage of pregnancy.

It’s the most extreme in a series of anti-abortion bills across the United States which are being seen as a direct challenge to Roe v Wade, the Supreme Court ruling which for decades has guaranteed women the right to have a termination.
