Abu Shusha: 70 years after Israel

On Monday it will be the 70th anniversary of the founding of the state of Israel.

But a day later Palestinians observe Nakba, in which they commemorates the loss of their homes and the beginning of the first Arab-Israeli War.

The word means catastrophe.

Close to a million Palestinians fled from their homes in the days that followed.
