‘A lack of PPE will lead to more deaths of frontline workers’ – son of doctor who died from coronavirus after pleading for more protective equipment for NHS staff

Well, at least twenty frontline NHS staff have now died in the fight against Covid-19. As we reported last night: one of them is Abdul Mabud Chowdhury, a senior consultant in the Urology department at Homerton University Hospital.

He had warned the government on social media that NHS staff needed more PPE. Dr Chowdhury’s colleague, Consultant Urologist Jhumur Pati and by his son Intisar Chowdhury spoke to Channel 4 News.
