Big Deal Films is a BAFTA and Broadcast nominated indie from London, that produces factual and scripted content for leading broadcasters. Founded by Dhanny Joshi and Thomas Stogdon in 2014, Big Deal Films’ mission is to create acclaimed propositions with a mainstream focus and to champion diverse stories. Recent factual productions have seen Big Deal exploring the history of toys for Channel 5, celebrating the work of Black comedians for ITV and telling the stories of young people who have been scammed for the BBC. In the scripted space, having delivered multiple short form series for BBC3 and Sky, Big Deal have recently produced the first longform Black comedy drama, Dreaming Whilst Black for BBC3. An animated adaptation of award-winning Penguin Random House book, Little Badman and a film partnership with a leading film studio make up the rest of Big Deal’s multi genre slate.
