Technical Information

Why can't I hear any audio when I'm watching a programme via iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch?

If you've having problems with the audio on All 4, please check that you have not accidentally turned your device to 'silent mode'. This mode can be activated by the small button next to the volume up/down controls on the side of your device. If the button is switched to the left, a small orange circle appears and the audio is set to 'mute'. If the button is switched to the right, the red circle disappears and you can set the audio volume to the desired level. For iPad 2 users, you can check whether the must button is activated from Settings>General and on the right-hand volume check the settings for Use Side Switch.

Volume level is adjusted either by pressing the volume up/down controls on the side of your device or by double-clicking on the 'Home' button and moving your finger along until you get to the left-most position where you will see a volume slide, which can then be controlled by sliding your finger left to right.
