Welcome to All 4+!
These Terms & Conditions between Channel Four Television Corporation and you ("Terms & Conditions") govern your access to and use of All 4+, including all features and functionality, available through the user interface and website located at www.channel4.com (the "Site").
By registering an account on the Site and signing up to receive the All 4+ functionality ("All 4+ User") you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Availability of All 4+ is limited and subject to availability.
1. Who makes All 4+ available to me?
All 4+ is operated and made available to you by Channel Four Television Corporation, which is a statutory corporation established under the Broadcasting Act 1990. Our postal address is 124 Horseferry Road, London SW1P 2TX (“C4”, "we", "us, "our").
2. Why is it important to read these Terms & Conditions?
2.1 Our Terms & Conditions are important because they confirm the legal DOs and DON’Ts which you need to be aware of when you use All 4+. Our Terms & Conditions set out the agreement between C4 and you for your (and anyone who uses All 4 with your All 4+ functionality) access to and use of All 4. If you don't agree to these Terms & Conditions, please don't sign up. If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, please contact us using any of the contact methods in the 'Contacting us' section below.
2.2 These Terms & Conditions apply regardless of the sort of device you are using to access the All 4+ functionality. Therefore, they will apply whether you are using a computer, laptop, smart TV, mobile phone, smart phone, tablet, games console or any other device on which All 4+ is available.
3. Should I read any other information or terms?
4. Access to All 4+ functionality
4.1 You must be a UK resident in order to become an All 4+ User. By becoming an All 4+ User, you will be able to access and view content on All 4 using your All 4+ functionality, on these Terms & Conditions. When we refer to our "All 4 Content", we mean the on-demand video, audio, text, images, trade marks, logos or other digital content made available to you by us on All 4. This includes content which is owned or controlled by third parties which we are permitted to make available to you.
4.2 To access All 4 via the All 4+ functionality you need to register an account on the Site by providing your details where requested by us. To register an All 4 account you must be aged 16 years or older.
4.3 All 4+ functionality is not available in relation to our “Watch Live” live streaming service.
4.4 You may use All 4+ at the same time on up to two devices.
4.5 When you sign up for All 4+ you are responsible for all access to and use of All 4+ by you and anyone else who uses your account (your “All 4+ Account”).
4.6 We recommend that you do not reveal your payment details, username and password to any other person. You agree to notify us immediately if you become aware of or suspect any unauthorised use of your password or username.
5. Advertising on All 4+
5.1 Signing up for the 4+ functionality allows you to view our All 4 Content without having to watch third party advertising. Some programmes feature sponsorship messages and/or occasional short breaks with promotional trails for other C4 programmes.
6. Watching All 4+ Content within the EU
6.1 Some of the content available on All 4+ is available to view outside the UK within the EU at no additional cost, although we cannot guarantee that your use of All 4+ will be uninterrupted or error free. This access is available only if you are temporarily abroad in another EU country. Your internet service provider or network operator may apply additional data charges outside of the UK. This access may not be available after the date on which the UK leaves the EU.
6.2 Due to rights issues there are some programmes that are not available to view outside the UK within the EU. You can find a list of the programmes here.

7. Beta Trial
7.1 We may launch All 4+ in 'beta mode' for a specific duration ("Beta Trial") and only on specific devices. The Beta Trial will be available to a limited number of users.
7.2 If you sign up for All 4+ during the Beta Trial, we will let you know on the Site before you sign up. During the Beta Trial, access to the All 4+ functionality may be limited to a specific duration. On the expiry of the Beta Trial Period, you will be automatically registered for any replacement version. If there are any significant changes, we will notify you of them at least 30 days prior and give you the opportunity to cancel.
7.3 You understand that during the Beta Trial, All 4+ is a work in progress, and may not work perfectly. We will do the best we can to make sure you have the best possible experience but All 4+ may not always work properly all the time.
8. Free trial
8.1 Your All 4+ functionality may start with a free trial period. We reserve the right to grant or withhold free trial periods. Free trials are available to new All 4+ users only (one per person), unless we tell you otherwise. You will be charged for the first month at the end of your free trial period, unless you cancel your All 4+ Account at least 24 hours before the expiry of the free trial. We may notify you that your free trial is ending, or has ended, and that your first monthly payment has been taken.
8.2 You agree not to register multiple times for a free trial using multiple names, addresses, email addresses or other means. Any such action shall be a breach of these Terms & Conditions and may result in the termination of your All 4+ Account.
9.1 You will be charged for All 4+ each month using the payment method provided when you first subscribed or set up your All 4+ Account. Payments will be taken automatically on the first day of each new month. The first payment will be taken either on the day after any free trial period ends or, where no free trial period applies, on the day you subscribe to All 4+.
9.2 You can view details of your account, including the monthly fee, billing information and renewal date, end date of your free trial period (where relevant, see section 8, above), and how to cancel, in the 'Account Settings' area on the Site (www.channel4.com). You can also change your payment method in the 'Account Settings' area on the Site. It is your responsibility to update and maintain the payment method associated with your All 4+ Account.
9.3 If a payment is not successfully made because your payment method has expired, you have insufficient funds, or otherwise, and you do not change your payment method or cancel your All 4+ Account, we may cancel your all 4+ Account, or suspend your access to the All 4+ functionality until we have obtained a valid payment method. When you update your payment method, you authorise us to charge the updated payment method and you remain responsible for any uncollected amounts. This may result in a change to your payment dates or your payment periods. If we have cancelled All 4+, you will have to sign up again.
9.4 We reserve the right to change the date we charge you if your payment method has not been successfully authorised or if that renewal date does not occur in a given month.
9.5 For some payment methods, the relevant issuer may charge you certain fees relating to the processing of your payment method. Local taxes and charges may vary depending on the payment method used. Check with your payment provider for details.
10. Automatic renewal
Access to the All 4+ functionality will automatically renew unless you cancel your All 4+ Account at least 24 hours before your next renewal date. If you do not cancel All 4+ at least 24 hours before the end of the current payment period (or free trial period), your access to All 4+ will automatically renew. If your access to All 4+ automatically renews, you will be charged the total fee due for the next month.
11. Subscription Price changes
11.1 We may change the price of All 4+ from time to time. We may increase our prices:
(a) if the cost to us of providing the All 4+ functionality increases (such as when we have to pay third parties more for their content);
(b) we introduce new All 4 Content;
(c) we change the way we structure the Site;
(d) we invest in improving our customer support; and/or
(e) other costs associated with running All 4+ increase.
11.2 In addition, we provide our All 4+ functionality on an on-going basis and we cannot foresee what may change in the future. This means we may increase our prices for any reasons other than those set out above.
11.3 We will give you no less than 30 days' notice of any price increase.
11.4 If we notify you of a price change and you do not want to continue to use the All 4+ functionality at the new price, you can cancel your All 4+ Account either: (i) before the start of the next payment period by following the steps in section 12 below; or (ii) at any time before the price change becomes effective by providing us with notice at the details set out in section 28, below.
12. How do I cancel All 4+?
12.1 You can cancel All 4+ at least 24 hours before the end of the current payment period (or free trial period) and the cancellation will be effective at the end of the current paid period (or free trial period). This means that if you are part of the way through a paid period, you will be able to continue to use your All 4+ functionality until the end of the current paid period.
12.2 To cancel your All 4+ Account, go to the 'Account Settings' area on the Site.
13. Cooling-off Period
13.1 You can change your mind and cancel your All 4+ functionality to All 4+, without giving any reason, any time up to 14 days from the date on which you sign up (“Cooling-off Period”). The cancellation form can be found here (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/schedule/3/made).
13.2 If you are exercising your right to change your mind within 14 days of purchasing All 4+, we will refund you for the unused paid period from the date you told us you had changed your mind.
14. Refunds and credits
14.1 Except where you exercise your right to change your mind within the Cooling-off Period, payments are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used billing periods. At any time, and for any reason, we may provide a refund, discount, or other consideration to some or all of our All 4+ Users. If we do this for any reason, this does not mean we are under any obligation to do so again, even in the same circumstances.
14.2 If you cancel part way through a month, we will not issue a refund but you will be able to continue to use the All 4+ functionality until the end of the current paid period.
15. Supported devices and updates
15.1 Availability of All 4, the Site, your All 4+ functionality and All 4 Content depends on the quality of your internet connection and device capabilities. Some features may not be available on all devices or internet browsers. Please visit the FAQs to see a list of supported platforms.
15.2 To get the best All 4+ experience, we recommend that you accept any updates to your device, personal computer and internet browser as and when they become available.
15.3 Your use of any updates, modifications to, or replacement versions of the Site will be governed by these Terms & Conditions and any additional terms you agree to when you subscribe to such update, modification, or replacement version (if applicable).
16. Your data usage
You are responsible for all internet access, mobile data or other charges incurred when using the Site and your All 4+ functionality. Remember that streaming audio-visual content such as videos can use up a lot of data.
17. Changes to All 4 and All 4 + functionality
17.1 C4 may regularly make changes to any element of All 4, the Site, your All 4+ functionality or the All 4 Content. In particular, the availability of All 4 Content may change from time to time (for various reasons, such as where relevant third party rights-holders withdraw or restrict our right to use that content on All 4+). We therefore have the right to add or withdraw All 4 Content at any time, with or without notice. You acknowledge and agree that the All 4 Content is variable and will change from time to time without notice. There may also be times when C4 has to remove certain features or functionality and/or stop allowing certain devices or browsers from being able to access All 4+. We may also update or upgrade the Site from time to time.
17.2 If changes to the Site are likely to materially adversely affect All 4+, we will try to make sure that any changes will not adversely affect you during your current paid period so you have the chance to cancel your All 4+ functionality before the next paid period begins by following the steps in section 12, above. If we have to make a materially adverse change to the Site or the All 4+ functionality, we will give you 30 days’ notice and the right to cancel. If you do not cancel your All 4+ Account after we have notified you about any changes and before these changes take place, we will take that as your acceptance of the changes.
18.1 All 4 Content is protected by copyright, trademark, and/or other proprietary intellectual property rights owned by or licensed to us.
18.2 You have no intellectual property rights in, or to, All 4+, the Site, your All 4+ functionality or the All 4 Content other than the right to use them in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
18.3 You may not remove, alter or in any way tamper with any copyright notices or other proprietary markings included on All 4+, in the Site or any All 4 Content. Any copying, access, transfer, public performance or communication to the public or other use of All 4+, the Site, the All 4 Content or your All 4+ functionality other than as expressly authorised by your local law or these Terms & Conditions shall constitute an infringement of applicable intellectual property rights and a breach of these Terms & Conditions. In the event of such infringement, we, or one of our affiliated companies, may, without notice or prior intervention of a court or arbitral body, block your access to All 4+ and terminate any All 4+ Account you may have and pursue any rights or remedies available to us.
19. Your use of All 4+
19.1 You confirm that: (a) any information and details provided by you to us, including on registration of an All 4+ Account, are true, accurate and up to date in all respects and at all times; (b) you will at all times comply with these Terms & Conditions; and (c) you will not use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in a way which infringes the rights of anyone else.
19.2 You must use All 4+ in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, and any other restrictions on your use of All 4, the Site, your All 4+ functionality or the All 4 Content.
19.3 You must not transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive or otherwise objectionable in relation to your use of All 4+, the Site, your All 4+ functionality or All 4 Content.
19.4 All 4+ including all All 4 Content are licensed to you (not sold) for your personal and non-commercial use only. While you are using All 4+, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, licence to access the All 4 Content and stream the All 4 Content, but not including our “Watch Live” live streaming service. Except for the limited licence granted to you in these Terms & Conditions, no right, title or interest in All 4 or any All 4 Content shall be transferred to you. You must not reproduce, perform, display or exhibit All 4, the Site, your All 4+ functionality or the All 4 Content in any public place.
19.5 You must not, and must not allow third parties to: (a) access, view and/or purchase your All 4+ functionality or All 4 Content using a virtual proxy network; (b) display, perform, publish, licence, offer for sale, make and/or distribute copies of All 4+, the Site, your All 4+ functionality or the All 4 Content; (c) attempt to copy, reproduce, alter, modify, reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, transfer, exchange or translate All 4+, the Site, your All 4+ functionality or the All 4 Content except as permitted by applicable law; (d) create derivative works of All 4+, the Site, your All 4+ functionality or the All 4 Content of any kind whatsoever; or (e) circumvent, remove, alter, deactivate, degrade or thwart any of the content protections on All 4+, in the Site or the All 4 Content.
20. I'm concerned about my personal data. What can Channel 4 use this for?
21. Ending your right to use All 4+
21.1 We may end your right to use all or any part of the All 4+ functionality, the All 4 Content and the Site immediately if we have a reasonable belief that you have breached these Terms & Conditions or if you are using the Site, the All 4 Content or your All 4+ functionality in any manner other than for its intended purpose, or illegally. If what you have done can be put right we may give you a reasonable opportunity to do so.
21.2 If we decide to discontinue All 4+ for any reason, we will aim to give you at least 30 days’ prior notice. In no event will we be liable in any way for the discontinuation All 4+, the removal of or disabling of access to All 4+ or the Site or for the withdrawal of any All 4 Content.
21.3 If we end your rights to use All 4+ you must stop all activities authorised by these Terms & Conditions, including your use of your All 4+ functionality.
22. Our liability to you
22.1 We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of our employees and agents. We do not seek to exclude liability for fraudulent misrepresentation by us or our employees or agents.
22.2 If we breach these Terms & Conditions we will only be liable for losses which are a reasonably foreseeable consequence of that breach. Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and us at the time of you agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
22.3 We are not responsible for:
(a) any use of All 4+, the Site or All 4 Content which isn’t authorised by us;
(b) any malfunction or interruption to All 4+, the Site or All 4 Content due to unforeseeable circumstances that prevent us from fulfilling our obligations to you;
(c) errors, viruses or bugs present in or arising from your use of All 4+, the Site or All 4 Content;
(d) incompatibility of All 4+, the Site or All 4 Content with any other software or hardware (including any of your devices); and
(e) any act or default of any third party platform, supplier, device manufacturer or provider of a device operating system, which are beyond our reasonable control.
22.4 You have certain statutory rights under the applicable laws of the United Kingdom. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to affect these statutory rights.
22.5 Apart from liability arising in respect of the circumstances set out in section 22.1 (which is unlimited), to the fullest extent permitted under English law, in no event shall our total liability to you for all damages arising from your use of All 4, the Site or the All 4 Content or your All 4+ functionality, exceed the amount you have paid for All 4+ in the previous six month period preceding your bringing a claim.
22.6 We can't guarantee that All 4+, the Site or the All 4 Content will be free from bugs or errors or that your access will be free from interruptions (for example there may be downtime for maintenance or updates or any power or server outages or other reasons outside our control).
22.7 Please note that we are not responsible for any lack of functionality or failure to provide any part of All 4+, the Site or the All 4 Content, or any loss of content or data that is due to: your equipment, devices, operating system or internet connection, your failure to download the most recent app or the Site or meet the compatibility requirements or the consequences of you changing your equipment, device, operating system or internet connection.
23. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
23.1 We may, from time to time, change these Terms & Conditions.
23.2 We will aim to notify you at least 30 days before making any material changes to these Terms & Conditions, unless the changes need to be implemented quickly for security, legal or regulatory reasons in which case we will notify you of the changes as soon as we can.
23.3 If any change to these Terms & Conditions will materially disadvantage you, or materially reduce the availability of the Site, we will provide you with at least 30 days’ notice before the changes become effective and you can choose to cancel your All 4+ Account before the changes become effective (see section 12).
23.4 If you continue to use All 4+ following any change to these Terms & Conditions, we will take this as your acceptance of the amended Terms & Conditions. The most up to date Terms & Conditions will always be available on the Site. You should review these Terms & Conditions regularly to check whether they have been changed or updated.
24. Transfer of rights
The agreement between us and you is personal to you and no third party is entitled to benefit under it. You agree we can transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms & Conditions to any company, firm or person, provided that your All 4+ functionality will not be adversely affected as a result of such transfer. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms & Conditions to anyone else.
25. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
26. What if I have a complaint?
26.1 About our programmes
If you wish to comment on one of our programmes, you can contact us via the 4Viewers website.
Please note that All 4+ constitutes part of our All4 on demand programme service. All 4 is regulated directly by Ofcom. Ofcom is the designated regulator for editorial content of UK video on demand services that fall within the statutory definition of On Demand Programme Services ("ODPS"). Channel 4 complies with Ofcom’s rules for ODPS. 26.2 About breach of copyright
If you see any content which appears on All 4+ which you consider to infringe your copyright, please let us know by using the Contact Form. When you notify us about a copyright infringement you will need to: (a) provide your contact details; (b) identify the infringing content; and (c) confirm that you own the copyright in the content and that its publication has not been authorised by you.
Following receipt of this notification, we will consider whether the content ought to be taken down.
26.3 Disputes may also be submitted for online resolution to the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution ("ODR") platform available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We do not currently use alternative dispute resolution ("ADR"), including through the ODR platform, as a means of settling consumer complaints.
27.1 We will send you information relating to your All 4+ Account and your All 4+ functionality (e.g. payment authorisations, invoices, changes in password or payment method, confirmation messages, content and feature updates and other service or transactional messages) by email to the email address you provide during sign up.
