Terms and Conditions for Cricket Competition August 2004
1. The following are the full set of terms and conditions for the Cricket Interactive Competition transmitted on Channel 4 and/or E4 ("Competition"). By entering the Competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. The Competition is organised by Channel Four Television Corporation and/or 4 Ventures Limited of 124 Horseferry Road, London, SW1P 2TX ("Channel 4").
3. To enter the competition you must be a UK resident 18 years or older and by playing the Quiz you warrant to Channel 4 that you are 18 years or older.
4. To enter the Competition you must be connected to digital satellite.
5. The Competition costs 50p per entry. This sum will be added to your next telephone bill. You must get consent from the person that pays the bill. The prizes will be awarded to randomly selected entries, awarded at Channel 4's sole discretion on a weekly basis. The prize is 2 tickets for a forthcoming cricket match and a bottle of champagne. The prize does NOT include transportation to the event nor does it include accommodation for which prize winners must make their own arrangements. The allocation and award of individual prizes is solely at Channel 4's discretion.
6. The weekly competition will close at 12 midnight on Sunday 22nd August 2004, The winner will contacted by Channel 4 within 24 hours. If Channel 4 are unable to contact the winner within 24 hours, the prize will go to another randomly selected person. The winner of the prize acknowledges that their name may be publicised.
7. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct or the results of the Competition, the decision of Channel 4 shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
8. Neither Channel 4 nor any of its group companies associated with the programme or the Competition are liable or responsible in any way for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment whatsoever suffered by you as a result of the Competition or the unavailability, inaccessibility or operation of the Competition howsoever caused. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude Channel 4's liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
9. Channel 4 reserves the right to stop the Competition and/or to vary these rules at any time, without prior notice.
10. The Competition is protected by copyright. You are only permitted to enter the Competition and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.
11. Employees of Channel 4 and its group of companies, their families and anyone else connected with the Competition may not enter the Competition and are not entitled to any prize.
12. Channel 4 may disqualify you from entering the Competition or winning any prize if it has reasonable grounds to suspect you may be in breach of these terms and conditions.
13. Any personal data collected will be used solely in accordance with current data protection legislation. Please see Channel 4's privacy policy www.channel4.com for further details.
14. These rules shall be governed by English law.
