My favourite meal is any kind of curry. They are very popular in the UK and I love them. If I had to pick a favourite it would probably be the chicken tikka pasanda. Creamy, coconutty, and spicy!

I'm a bit of 'super hero fan' at the moment. You know like, SpiderMan, Fantastic 4, X Men etc. Also any film that features Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp - both great actors and great looking! Being an ex runner I still love watching athletics on the tv. The speed these athletes are running is just amazing.

I think Michael Johnson (200m/400m runner) from the US is one of the best. I think he was a superb athlete and now does a great commentary job for the BBC. Also Kelly Holmes our very own British double Olympic Gold medallist.

I'm not much of a book reader but more of a crossword book person. I usually just buy a book of crosswords and puzzles and work my way through that. Thought Lance Armstrong's autobiography was inspiring.

If I wasn't a pro athlete I could still be working in Accounts as I did in my last job for nearly 10 years. I never want to go back to that though! I'd like to be involved with sport and be involved somehow with the London 2012 Olympics.

When i'm not training or competing I like to spend time with my animals, especially my tortoises as i'm tortoise mad!

My home town is Harrow, Middx which is North West London. I'm proud to say that I am a real born and bred 'Londoner' of the GB triathlon team!

I started off as a runner and am a Commonwealth Games Silver Medallist for the 5k (1998). I also ran in the Sydney Olympics 2000 over 5k. Both memorable experiences. I turned to triathlon in 2001 and have since won 2 World Cups (Madeira 2002 and Corner Brook 2005), finished 6th in the World Champs 2003 and my highest ever World Ranking is 5th (2005).
