Maribor specialises in hosting women's slalom and giant slalom racing
Since 1970 the resort has staged over 30 World Cup races, but it has never held a men's event
The Pohorje racing slopes are not very steep and demand strong technique and good shape and form to post a fast time
With seven World Cup wins in giant slalom and slalom, Switzerland's Vreni Schneider dominated racing at Maribor in the 1980s and 1990s
Locals call the World Cup races Zlata Lisica - Golden Fox
