Cortina is one of Italy's top ski destinations and alongside St Moritz and Gstaad is one of the most exclusive resorts in the world
Ski jumping has long been popular in the resort and the Italia Ski Jump was built for the seventh winter games in 1955. It replaced a wooden ski jump, which had been in use on the hill since the 1930s
