The Lowdown
  • The most traditional race in the giant slalom calendar, Adelboden has hosted over 30 World Cup races since the series began in 1967
  • The Kuonigsbergli slope is among the most technically demanding in the world and the race is one of few to still be contested on its original course

  • With 3,500 inhabitants, the town is tiny compared with neighbouring Gstaad
  • The resort has 61 runs and its painted wooden chalets and brightly coloured houses are typically Swiss
