TEAM PROFILE
Nick Kennerley
Nick Kennerley is one of our producers here at "Skiing on 4".
His name has been associated with sport on TV for a very long time now and with his many years of experience in this field, you're guaranteed entertainment which will hold you right on the edge of your seat!
Nick started his TV career at the BBC as a Film Editor and later gained a place on the BBC's prestigious Production Trainee Scheme. He worked in many different programme areas including Light Entertainment and Current Affairs. Particular highlights were being a director on the classic rock show "The Old Grey Whistle Test" and a producer on "Live Aid".
Being a multi camera director, Nick was soon using his experience in sports television and started making sports television for Channel 4 in 1987. He is now on his sixth major sports series for the Channel, and his credits include "American Football", which he headed for 4 years in the 90s, and the quintessential cult programme "Kabaddi".
In 1998 he was appointed Deputy Head of Sport at Channel 4 and was responsible for the editorial pitch to the England and Wales Cricket Board, winning the Channel the rights to Test Match cricket at the expense of the BBC. He also introduced motor-sport to the Channel in 1999.
Nick loves skiing and in fact won his only medal in Kitzbuhel during a children's ski race (Nick was a child himself at the time!).
Sadly his love for mountain restaurants and his fear of falling prevented him from becoming a champion!
This is Nick's second year on "Skiing on 4".
