Lachor eyes Brum switch

Out-of-favour Lens defender Yoann Lachor has revealed that he has held talks with Premiership club Birmingham City.

The 29-year-old has been used sparingly by Coach Francis Gillot this term, and is expected to leave in January with his contract expiring in the summer.

“I had a talk of a kind with the Birmingham Coach,” Lachor said. “I don't know exactly how it has happened, but it is attractive, especially when you consider my current situation.

“I am a free agent in June and it seems Lens don’t want to keep me. Birmingham is the only concrete contact. So a departure there is a possibility.

“They want to see me on trial. We will see how to plan that, knowing Lens have a lot of games to play before the winter break and they could need me.”
