Strasbourg boss Jacky Duguépéroux was predictably despondent after watching his players snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against Nantes yesterday.
The Ligue 1 basement-club looked set to record their first victory this term after leading 2-0 and 3-1, however Les Canaris fought back strongly and Frédéric Da Rocha broke the visitors' hearts by grabbing a last-gasp winner to seal a fantastic 4-3 triumph.
"What I've learnt here is that we took no points and we lost again," commented Duguépéroux afterwards. "We lacked experience, but that's understandable with such a young team.
"I also think we were tired after our match in Rome in Thursday [1-1 against Roma in the UEFA Cup] and we were made to pay for that.
"But still, we had a 2-0 lead and almost went 4-1 up. Unfortunately, we're cursed!"
Meanwhile, Nantes Coach Serge Le Dizet said it was a match he will remember for a long time, but he had a lot of sympathy for his opposite number.
"First of all, my thoughts go out to Jacky Duguépéroux. It's very, very tough to have to go through that," he stated.
"On the other hand, this one will live long in the memory and [as a highlight] of my career as a Coach. I told the players at half-time that Strasbourg hadn't won yet and they'd be fragile if we got an early goal.
"Our second half was extraordinary. What the players did after Strasbourg's third goal was really staggering."
