Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Lionel Letizi had no complaints to make after he and his teammates went down 4-3 at home to Lens in a thrilling match last night.
Pedro Pauleta and Mario Yepes struck late on to give the capital club hope of clinching an unlikely point, but the damage had been done by then as Ivory Coast striker Aruna Dindane netted a brace to send Lens up to sixth.
"Losing 4-3 at the Parc des Princes hurts but, at the same time, it's a fair result," said the former France custodian. "Lens were better than us for the whole game, except at the end when they let go a little and conceded two goals.
"There's nothing to say. We were motivated to take all three points tonight but we came across a side who walked all over us right from the start. From where I was standing, they looked like a steam-roller."
His Coach Laurent Fournier was just as honest, and admitted to seeing an unfortunate pattern emerge.
"I didn't feel that we lacked motivation, I just think we had trouble expressing ourselves against a side who were a lot more athletic than us," he explained.
"We let Lens play their game and we were invisible. We seem to go missing against athletic teams and I hope we can find some solutions."
In the opposition camp, Sang et Or boss Francis Gillot was understandably delighted, but more than a little bemused by the evening's spectacle.
"We're not used to conceding goals and we let three in. We're not used to scoring goals and we got four," he observed. "It was a great game and we were really up for it.
"Overall, we were well-organised and pressed them hard. It's been quite some time since we were that effective up front and I hope tonight will serve as a turning-point."
