Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping that his fit-again French striker Louis Saha can help turn around the club’s fortunes.
Saha struck six times in his first eight games following a £12.8m move from Fulham in January 2003, since when his career has been dogged by injuries.
"We know Louis can score goals," said Ferguson. "The essential thing is he is back playing again, now we just need him back in form."
Saha made his return as a substitute against Villarreal on Tuesday and is in the frame to feature at West Ham this weekend.
The 27-year-old will be desperate to get back on the goal trail as he tries to win back his place in the France squad ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
