Werder Bremen Coach Klaus Allofs has criticised France boss Raymond Domenech for over looking Bundesliga duo Johan Micoud and Valérien Ismaël.
Allofs, who played for both Bordeaux and Marseille in the 1980’s, admitted he didn’t understand Domenech’s selection policy, accusing the Frenchman of disrespect.
“The France Coach hasn’t the right to ignore the excellent performances of Micoud and Ismaël in the Bundesliga,” said German.
“Both of them have been excellent since the start of the season and if we’re second in the League, it’s thanks to Johan.
“As for Valérian, he has very quickly imposed himself as first-choice at Bayern Munich and he’s not the same player he was at Strasbourg or Lens.
“I find it incredible that [Domenech] is ignoring these two players. At the very least they deserve some respect, because they’re not getting any at the moment.”
France play Germany in an international friendly at the Stade de France this Saturday. Micoud, 32, has played 17 times for France scoring just once, while Ismaël, 30, has never been called up to Les Beus.
