Créteil's excellent start to the season continued in Week 6, while Bastia suffered a shock defeat at home to Reims.
In an early-season top-of-the-table clash, Créteil outlined their potential once more by claiming a 2-0 win away to Châteauroux. Starting the game a point ahead of the home side, Créteil sealed an impressive victory with goals in each half from Boulebda and Dobo.
They go clear at the top with 14 points from six games, while Châteauroux drop to fifth.
Second in the table with 11 points are Bastia, but they will be ruing their failure to win at home to strugglers Reims.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, the two-times European Cup finalists will be relieved to have secured their second win of the season, Didot’s 16th-minute strike sealing a 1-0 win for Reims.
Third-placed Lorient also suffered a frustrating evening. The Brittany side had to come from behind at home to Istres but Audel’s goal was only enough to give them a point.
Elsewhere, Caen, who were playing top flight football last season, finally registered their first point of the season, drawing 0-0 at home to Guingamp. They stay bottom, however, while Le Havre climb to 18th after their emphatic 3-0 win over Valenciennes.
