A second-half goal from Zied Jaziri helped Troyes come from behind to claim a point at home to Strasbourg on Sunday.
Both these teams started the afternoon desperate for points, Troyes having lost four of their last five matches, Strasbourg winless in their previous five outings.
The Alsace team, who were beaten 4-2 at home by Toulouse last time out, started in positive fashion, Mickael Pagis breaking the offside trap but losing his duel with the home goalkeeper Ronan Le Crom.
Troyes quickly got in the game, however, and Benjamin Nivet had their first effort on target in the 25th minute, but it nestled safely in the arms of Stéphane Cassard.
The key moment of the first half arrived two minutes before the end. Alexander Farnerud failed to control Pagis’s cross but was given a second chance when Rabo Hosni sent the ball back in his direction. This time the Swede made no mistake, crashing the ball home with his left foot.
Jaziri replaced Sébastien Dallet at the interval and Troyes' Tunisian playmaker almost made an immediate impact, twisting and turning before sliding a pass through for Sébastien Grax who missed his control.
Grax and Jaziri combined well to give the Troyes attack new life in the second half, and the latter went close with a clever lob on 53 minutes.
Jaziri eventually got the home side level 17 minutes from time, turning expertly in the box and unleashing an unstoppable shot past Cassard and in off the crossbar.
Strasbourg have now failed to win in 10 matches and, after dominating this game for long periods, will be ruing their failure to get the three points here.
