Bottom club Strasbourg are still without a win after 17 matches following their goalless draw at home to Sochaux.
Jacky Duguépéroux's men were well worth three points, but once again they were found wanting in front of goal. And they were also hit by an early injury to Salim Arraché, who became the ninth Strasbourg player to join the treatment room after just 10 minutes.
Rabiu Afolabi headed just past the post for Sochaux halfway through the first period, but otherwise they were up against some intense pressure as both Abd Rabo Hosni and Karim Haggui went close to scoring at the other end.
Haykel Gmamdia forced Teddy Richert into an athletic save after the interval and Hosni sent a free-kick just over the bar, yet despite touch-line remonstrations from Duguépéroux who was booked they could not come up with a winner.
