Marseille are hoping to lure Paris Saint-Germain-target Vikash Dhorasoo to the Stade Vélodrome, according to reports.
PSG have made it clear they wish to sign the AC Milan midfielder, who has one year left on his San Siro contract, but could now be denied by a late bid from Marseille.
The Mediterranean club, who last season poached Frédéric Déhu and Fabrice Fiorèse from the Parc des Princes, are desperate to strengthen their midfield after losing a host of players already this summer.
Last season's first-choice central midfield pairing Benoit Pedretti and Eduardo Costa have left for Lyon and Espanyol respectively, and L’Equipe claim that Coach Jean Fernandez has made the France international his top priority.
Marseille have reportedly launched a bid of between £1.5m and £2m to Milan, who previously stated their desire to keep Dhorasoo but are now believed to be listening to offers.
The 31-year-old, who moved to Serie A from Lyon last summer, featured in just 12 League matches last season but impressed the Italian giants with his positive attitude.
He has also enjoyed a renaissance at international level in the last 12 months, featuring regularly under Coach Raymond Domenech.
