Paris Saint-Germain were beaten for the third time in their preseason friendly programme when they went down 3-1 to Nice yesterday.
Laurent Fournier handed debuts to new recruits Vikash Dhorasoo, Bonaventure Kalou and David Rozehnal, but the capital club were undone by strikes from Sammy Traoré, Cédric Varrault and Nice's own new signing Bakary Koné, with youngster Rudy Haddad netting a consolation.
"Of course I'm disappointed by the result, but the players out there in the first half had only been training for a week. We have to patient," commented Fournier afterwards.
"The game went well even if we lacked rigour and weren't concentrated enough at set-pieces.
"Now we have to turn our attentions to the start of the competitive calendar, with a desire to win and surpass ourselves."
Former Lyon ace Dhorasoo (pictured), recently captured from AC Milan, was also determined to remain positive ahead of the new season.
"It was my first game and people are expecting a lot from me," he said. "We would have liked to have played better and won, but we'll continue to prepare and the results will start coming.
"The team and the squad are good. We're going to believe in ourselves and I don't think we'll disappoint. I know we're going to enjoy some great moments."
