We’re too nice, says Nantes chief

Nantes director of sport Japhet Ndoram claims his team are “too nice” and lack players with character.

Currently 13th in the standings, Les Canaris continue to struggle in the wrong half of the table, and Ndoram, who arrived at La Beaujoire earlier in the campaign, believes they need more steel.

“We’re too nice and we lack personality,” said the former Nantes star. “I’ve got the impression that we try to get rid of players who have got character.

“In foreign Leagues, players fight and put in bad tackles in training. We have talented players but we don’t have competitors.”

Nantes host Monaco at the weekend.
