Les Verts line up Postiga

Saint-Etienne will look to boost their strike force by signing Helder Postiga on loan from Porto during the winter break.

The Portugal striker, who scored against England in the European Championship semi-final, has handed in a transfer request to the Porto Coach Co Adriaanse.

The 23-year-old is expected to enter negotiations with the French club in the next few days.

Postiga has spent his whole career at Porto, apart from one season at Tottenham in 2003-04 when he scored one goal in 19 Premiership matches.
