Paris Saint-Germain striker Pedro Pauleta has launched a withering attack on the attitudes of some of his teammates.
Seemingly pointing the finger at fellow forward Bonaventure Kalou in particular, the Portuguese hitman says it is time for his colleagues to assume their responsibilities.
"A professional player who hides behind the team's strategy as a way of explaining his poor performances has no place at PSG," he declared. "He has no place in a big team.
"Myself, I don't want excuses, not any more. It's really time for everyone to just accept their responsibilities. If we lose, it's our fault, us the players. If we play badly, it's not the Coach's fault, or the supporters or the pitch.
"If tomorrow I get asked to play on the right, I'll do it. Perhaps I won't be as good as I am in my usual position, but I'll do it without complaining.
"Only if they put me in goal would I think of saying something."
Ivory Coast international Kalou recently attributed his poor run of form to being fielded on the right, but he is far from being the only PSG player to voice frustration at Coach Laurent Fournier's tactics.
Vikash Dhorasoo also put his testing start to the season down to having been asked to fulfil various roles across the midfield.
