Lyon striker Pierre-Alain Frau is on the verge of joining Lens on loan after the two clubs reached an agreement over the weekend.
According to Lyon officials, the France international will join Les Sang et Or for an indemnity of 338,000 Euros, with Francis Gillot's side also taking care of his wages.
Asked about the situation on Sunday evening, however, Lens President Gervais Martel was giving little away.
"We're still interested in Frau coming here, but if it's going to happen it will happen in the next 48 hours," he said.
Frau signed for the champions in the summer of 2004 but has made just four Ligue 1 appearances this season due to intense competition for places at the Stade Gerland.
Should he join Les Sang et Or in the next couple of days, he will be available to face local rivals Lille at the weekend.
