Marseille boss Jean Fernandez was keen to play down any disappointment following his team's 1-1 draw away to Nancy on Sunday.
The Mediterranean club dropped down to 10th in the standings as a result, not least because substitute striker Andres Mendoza missed a sitter in stoppage time.
"When you look at how the game unfolded, with Nancy playing well and Marseille good in the second half, I have to say that the result is positive and the draw is logical," he explained.
"Of course, we can regret the chances that went begging at the end of the match, especially when a striker misses the target from six metres out.
"But now we have to concentrate on our final three games before the winter break. We have to perform well and after that we'll look at where we are before making plans for the second half of the season."
His rival Coach Pablo Correa was of the same opinion, aware that the encounter could have swung either way in the final stages.
"I don't feel any disappointment tonight," he stated. "Above all, I have the humility to tell myself it's a good result. We could have done better but we also could have lost.
"The players have nothing to regret. Their heart was in it, they had the means as well, but in the end it wasn't enough."
He was also eager to prevent his charges from becoming complacent as the halfway stage approaches.
"We're nine points clear of the relegation zone and that may seem like a lot but in truth it's nothing," he observed.
"We have to keep both feet on the ground because there's a long way to go still."
