Former Marseille boss Philippe Troussier has been relieved of his functions by the Moroccan Football Federation just two months into the job.
Troussier was appointed on October 28 after Badou Zaki resigned, and was due to lead Morocco to the African Cup of Nations in Egypt next month.
Growing differences between him and his employers eventually made his position untenable, however, and the federation have released a statement saying his dismissal was due to, "fairly significant differences in our points of view."
Especially frustrating for the federation were the 50-year-old's insistence on appointing an all-foreign coaching staff and his tense relations with the local press.
FAR Rabat Coach M'hamed Fakhir now looks almost certain to replace him.
