New-signing Dennis Oliech does not anticipate that it will take him long to adapt to life at Nantes.
The Kenyan striker finally arrived in France on Monday after protracted negotiations with Qatari club Al Arabi and he says he is in excellent condition for the tests ahead.
"This season I've played 17 matches and I feel 100% physically," he told L'Equipe. "I've got a great determination to score goals and I don't think my apprenticeship will take very long. I just need a month to learn French."
The pacy international also revealed why it took Les Canaris six months to ultimately prize him away from Qatar.
"A lot of club representatives came to see me but Al Arabi didn't want to let their top scorer go without finding a replacement," he commented.
"Nantes were patient. They fought for six months and, by some miracle I can't explain, they finally got the go ahead for me to leave. They succeeded where PSG and Marseille both failed."
