Paul Le Guen is expected to hold talks with Rangers about taking over as Coach at Ibrox.
The SPL champions are having a terrible season and boss Alex McLeish knows that even progress in the Champions League might not be enough for him to keep his job.
Le Guen initially seemed to rule himself out of the running, but his assistant has revealed that the former Lyon Coach is still interested.
“There has been no more contact but Paul is very interested,” said Yves Colleu. “Paul has had a lot of offers but he has said no to all of them.
“Rangers are a big club and it's a very good job to have. Now we are looking to come to Glasgow but we'll have to wait and see what happens with Alex McLeish. I'm sure Paul could bring the spirit back to Rangers."
