Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires can hardly wait to face Real Madrid in the Champions' League, and believes the Gunners can go all the way.
The France international's future is far from certain as he prepares to negotiate a new contract, but he admits he can't stop thinking about the prospect of facing the Galacticos over two legs in February and March.
"It will be the first time I've ever played at the Santiago-Bernebeu and I'm very happy about that," he explained. "Playing Real Madrid is as good as it gets, and my idol when I was young was [former Real star] Michel."
Arsenal have been struggling for any kind of consistency in the Premiership of late, yet Pires revealed that Arsène Wenger's side feel they can make up for their disappointing domestic campaign in Europe.
"Everything will depend upon where we find ourselves when we face them, but it's clear that all the teams have a chance of winning it.
"Naturally, we're thinking about what Liverpool achieved last year. And playing the final at the Stade de France would be magical."
