Ivory Coast defender Saliou Lassissi has quit Nancy after failing to re-launch his career in Lorraine.
Lassissi, 27, joined the Ligue 1 side in August in a bid to force his way back into contention for the Elephants’ African Cup of Nations squad.
Lassissi, who played in Italy for Parma, Fiorentina and Roma, broke his shinbone in the summer of 2001 and failed to play a single first-team match before signing for Nancy six months ago.
He has not made an impact on Pablo Correa’s team and has reached an amicable agreement with the club to move on.
