Signorino set for operation

Nantes defender Franck Signorino will undergo a minor operation after breaking his finger in the Coupe de la Ligue clash with Bordeaux.

The former Metz left-back is aiming to be fit when the season recommences on January 4, but faces a race against time.

“He will wear a splint and will be resting up for a while,” said Nantes doctor Fabrice Bryand.

"He will then have a X-ray at some point between now and the next match. The first match could be touch and go,” he added.

Nantes play host to Rennes on January 4, before taking on Valenciennes in the Coupe de France on January 7.
