Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Fournier (pictured) has asked his club to sign former Everton midfielder Thomas Gravesen from Real Madrid.
The under-fire Coach has spoken with club officials about possible January transfers and has announced that the Real Madrid player is top of his Christmas list.
“In midfield we miss a leader to calm us down, to get the ball back, to change the pace etc.,” Fournier said.
“In my mind, the midfield leader should have been Vikash Dhorasoo and I still believe it, but I am expecting involvement from everyone.
"We need someone with more physical impact than Vikash. I gave a list of names and Gravesen was on it.
"I asked for a defensive midfielder and a strong forward, but I don’t know if we will have the money.”
The Danish international may take some persuading, as he recently announced that he has no intention of leaving Madrid in January despite increasing rumours that he is surplus to requirements.
