Nancy have expressed their interest in signing out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain duo Sergei Semak and Fabrice Pancrate.
The Lorraine club have already reached an agreement with their capital counterparts for Pancrate, and their President Jacques Rousselot said: “We are waiting to get the green light from the player.”
Meanwhile, Nancy are now emerging as a leading candidate to snap up unsettled Russian Semak.
The former CSKA Moscow player has made little impression at the Parc des Princes, and PSG boss Laurent Fournier is keen to ship the player out either on loan or permanently.
Dinamo and Lokomotiv Moscow are interested in the 29-year-old, but Semak would prefer to stay in France. Marseille and Bordeaux have both been linked with him, with Nancy also joining the race.
Rousselot said on Thursday: “Semak is a player who would potentially interest us.”
Pancrate, 25, is also being chased by Auxerre.
