Strasbourg skipper extends contract

Strasbourg captain Guillaume Lacour has extended his contract with the relegation strugglers until 2009.

The left-back was due to be out of contract in the summer, but penned a three-year extension, confirming his commitment to the club despite its current predicament.

The 25-year-old joined Strasbourg in 2001, after graduating from the youth academy at Lyon.

He has played in all 19 matches for the Alsace team this season.
