Djorkaeff set to stay in Big Apple

Former France international Youri Djorkaeff is said to be about to sign a new contract with Major League Soccer outfit the New York Metrostars.

According to the New York Daily, the 37-year-old will pen a one-year-deal with the team he joined from Blackburn Rovers on February 18.

Djorkaeff finished last season with 11 goals and eight assists from 26 matches, and was voted the club's best player.
