Louis Saha was delighted to be back on the scoresheet for Manchester United after netting in their Carling Cup win over West Brom.
The French international striker’s last goal was almost a year ago and he has spent much of the time since then on the sidelines.
“It was a very nice feeling,” said the former Fulham striker. “It was an emotional night tonight so it's great to win the game.
“I hope so. I think I've been training now for three weeks and I'm happy with my fitness. Obviously, I need games to get my confidence back to a year before - that's when I got injured and it started to go wrong for me.
“It was very frustrating, obviously. I'm very professional but it was a very hard time. I coped with it very well, I think.
“I have to think positively now. It's been hard and I just try to think positively. I've got to keep working hard and wait for my time.”
