Henri Camara has revealed that he is more than happy with life at Wigan, despite his hesitancy in agreeing a move to the Premiership new boys.
Paul Jewell’s sixth-placed side have been the surprise package of the season so far, and one of their key performers has been ex-Sedan forward Camara, who netted a hat-trick against Charlton to end a run of five straight defeats.
“There was a bit of hesitancy about signing because of past experiences,” said the Senegal international. “But having spoken to the Coach and seen the stadium I just had a gut feeling that it was the right thing to do.
“It was basically a gamble and it seems to have paid off. I am surprised about how well it has gone because nobody knew who the team was. But everyone knows who we are now. I am glad I am making a contribution.”
