Paris Saint-Germain President Pierre Blayau says no decision will be taken on the future of Coach Laurent Fournier until January.
Speaking after watching the capital outfit contest a 1-1 draw away to 19th-placed Ajaccio, Blayau (pictured) nonetheless made it clear he intends to look at the issue during the winter break.
"[Fournier's position] is not the question of the day," he explained. "This was a good draw, a good point. We'll know more when the winter break ends.
"I'm sticking to my guns. We're thinking about the second half of the season and we want to do things calmly while weighing up the pros and the cons. We'll see how things look after the winter break."
Fournier's one reason for optimism may be that Blayau is having trouble finding a successor, with former Lyon Coach Paul Le Guen unwilling to replace his old friend halfway through the season.
Otherwise, ex-Sochaux boss Guy Lacombe does not enjoy the kind of star quality the club's owners Canal Plus are looking for, and bringing him in now would put Blayau's reputation on the line.
Fournier himself, meanwhile, said he will wait and see how things turn out.
"There's no worry, I'm trying to do the best I can," he insisted. "I think this all comes with the territory, I accept it and we'll see what happens.
"Tension is a part of life in a city like Paris. You just have to learn to put up with it. As for my future, only time will tell."
