Bordeaux striker Jean-Claude Darcheville has revealed that he would find it difficult to turn down a move to Rangers.
Darcheville will be remembered by most British fans for his disappointing season at Nottingham Forest in 1998, but has developed considerably at Bordeaux in recent years.
“Last summer, I said no to the Rangers offer," Darcheville stated. "But things have changed. I am very happy at Bordeaux. But when you have such opportunities, you can't always say no.”
Rangers chairman David Murray has confirmed that the club are keen to sign a striker this summer - but he wouldn’t name Darcheville as his target.
“The standard drops dramatically when Dado Prso is out injured,” he said. “The boys try their best, but we need another striker.”
