League chief visits Adailton

Football League (LNP) President Frédéric Thiriez will visit Nancy defender Adailton in hospital today to offer his support to the wounded Brazilian.

Adailton broke his shinbone during Saturday’s game with Strasbourg when Yves Deroff mistimed a heavy tackle. He was forced to undergo immediate surgery on Saturday and is now recovering in hospital in Gentilly.

The 26-year-old sustained several injuries, including a bruised ankle. The most serious of the blows - the leg fracture - is likely to keep him out of action for eight months.
