Ligue 1 basement club Metz will give another trial to Russian international Ruslan Pimenov in a bid to end their goalscoring crisis.
Pimenov had a short spell at the Lorraine club at the tail end of last season, playing three matches, but was not offered a permanent contract.
But after seeing his team slump to the foot of the standings at the weekend, under-fire Coach Joël Muller is keen to bring in attacking reinforcements and will run the rule over the big forward once again.
Pimenov, who played for Russia in the 2002 World Cup, started his career at Torpedo Moscow, but has been on the books at city rivals Lokomtiv since 1999.
Since returning to Russia in the summer, he has been playing on loan for Alania Vladikavkaz.
