Didier Drogba believes that the biggest threat to Chelsea’s title bid is themselves.
The Blues have opened up a 12-point lead at the top of the Premiership and are well on course to becoming only the second side to retain the trophy.
“Our number one opponents are not Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester United. It is ourselves at Chelsea,” stated the former Marseille hitman.
“Besides the talent, our success rests on rigour, organisation and state of mind. If we stay faithful to these values, we will continue to win.
“This is also an important period for us to stay on top. Last year, Christmas was fantastic. December and January was the time when we made the difference. This time, we already have an advantage.
“The best we can do to keep it is by continuing to win. Even if we win, it can only get bigger if the other teams lose. It is a very important time for us.”
