Rennes goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson’s injury-plagued season is set to continue after he aggravated a thigh injury against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.
The Swedish international had been out of action in recent weeks after tearing a thigh muscle, resulting in an extended run in the side for youngster Simon Pouplin.
Iskasson made his comeback at the Parc des Princes, but felt more pain during the 2-0 loss and has now been ruled out until the New Year.
Pouplin will be between the sticks again on Wednesday when Rennes travel to Greece to play PAOK in the UEFA Cup, and will also be first choice on Saturday as the Brittany club entertain Saint-Etienne.
