Saint-Etienne snag Postiga

Portugal striker Helder Postiga has agreed to join Saint-Etienne on loan from Porto until the end of the season.

Les Verts have paid £589,000 for the 23-year-old's services but he will not arrive at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard until the winter transfer window opens in January.

Postiga has played just twice this term and is keen to secure regular playing time with six months to go to the World Cup.

He previously spent one miserable year at Tottenham Hotspur, but that has proved to be nothing compared with the problems he has experienced since Co Adriaanse took over at Porto.
