Serie A Week 23 - 17/2/08 (14.00 UK)
Siena 0 - 0 Torino
Stadio Franchi

It is hardly surprising that this game ended in a stalemate, as Torino are the draw specialists with 13 in 23 rounds.

This relegation dogfight saw just four points separating the teams going into the weekend. Toro boss Walter Novellino sat out a touchline ban, joined by Gianluca Comotto and Aimo Diana, while Simone Vergassola was suspended for Siena.

Alessandro Rosina celebrated his 100th match in the Torino jersey. Marco Motta almost made the most of a Rossettini defensive error, then Alex Manninger smothered a Roberto Stellone header.

Paolo Zanetti should have done better, but a lucky ricochet was fired off target from the edge of the area.

Siena slowly started to wake up as Tomas Locatelli dispossessed Vincenzo Grella to drill over, then Matteo Sereni was secure on a looping Rossettini header and a couple of Massimo Maccarone efforts.

Straight after the restart Stellone horribly wasted David Di Michele's assist from eight yards, then Sereni did brilliantly to deny Daniele Portanova's tap-in.

Sereni smothered a Mario Frick half-volley and a powerful left-foot stinger from Locatelli.

There was bad news for Toro, as Sasa Bjelanovic came on as a substitute and lasted just five minutes before limping off with an injury.
