Serie A Week 3 - 16/9/07 (14.00 UK)
Reggina 0 - 2 Roma
Juan 50 (Ro), Totti 84 (Ro)
Stadio Granillo

Roma are the only team in Serie A to have won all their games after three rounds and are clear at the top of the table after Juan marked his top flight debut with a goal.

The Giallorossi were hoping to maintain their 100 per cent record and their confidence ahead of the Champions League test, but were without Christian Panucci and Mirko Vucinic. Their record at the Granillo was also poor with just one win from their last four trips to Calabria and two defeats. Reggina were unbeaten going into the game after two prestigious draws.

In the opening 30 seconds Daniele De Rossi dispossessed Edgar Barreto and sent Francesco Totti clear, but Maurizio Lanzaro stuck by him and the chance went begging.

Reggina had a great chance as Nicola Amoruso struck a right-foot finish from the left flank and Alexander Doni was at full stretch to clear. Doni also parried another Amoruso attempt and this time Tullberg was not alert enough to take advantage of the loose ball.

Brazilian Juan made his Serie A debut for Roma and impressed with his clearances on Tullberg and Amoruso, but Alberto Aquilani's long-range strikes were not as accurate as in previous weeks.

Roma shot-stopper Doni did not come back on after the break due to an injury, so Under-21 international Gianluca Curci took the gloves. He got a scare almost immediately when Barreto smashed his shot across the face of goal.

The Giallorossi took the lead on 50 minutes with Serie A debutant Juan. A free kick was floated across the face of goal and Salvatore Aronica lost sight of the Brazilian, so he flicked in the ball from six yards.

It all fell to pieces for the Amaranto, as moments later Valdez saw red for a cruching tackle on Simone Perrotta.

Ludovic Giuly had a penalty shout for a mistimed Stadsgaard challenge, then Totti's lob settled on to the roof of the net. Giuly spun round his marker and the shot was deflected into the air for a tricky Campagnolo save.

Roma were totally dominating now, but Perrotta failed to double their advantage clear on goal, firing off target with only the goalkeeper to beat from eight yards!

Soon after, Campagnolo parried another Giuly attempt from point-blank range, while at the other end Ceravolo was booked for simulation.

Moments later, Totti put the tie beyond doubt. Cicinho rolled the pass across, Aquilani's dummy confused the defence and Il Capitano placed a low drive into the net from nine yards.
