Franco Brienza rescued a point for Reggina in stoppages at the Granillo after Roberto Sosa's opener.

Reggina seemed dead and buried a few weeks ago, but the arrival of new Coach Nevio Orlandi has seen them mount a shock comeback and the Amaranto had won the last two editions of this fixture, both by a 3-1 scoreline.

It was an uneventful match with two teams unable to cause each other many problems. Franco Brienza's angled drive flashed across the face of goal and Ezequiel Lavezzi blasted well over.
Walter Gargano was booked and will be suspended for the game with Palermo.
