Serie A Week 5 - 26/9/07 (19.30 UK)
Parma 2 - 0 Torino
Reginaldo 62 (P), Corradi 64 (P)
Stadio Tardini

Parma got their first victory of the current Serie A campaign against to end Torino's unbeaten record.

Both these sides were still looking for their first win of the season and time was running out. This fixture last ended with a share of the points in 1993's epic 2-2 draw, so something was bound to give. Walter Novellino was in the stands due to a touchline ban for dissent.

Matteo Sereni parried an early Daniele Dessena screamer, as Parma pinned Toro back into their own half. They really should have taken the lead on 26 minutes, as Sereni pushed Luca Cigarini's shot into the path of Bernardo Corradi, but the former Manchester City man incredibly ballooned over an open goal.

Hernan Dellafiore was perhaps fortunate to stay on the field when he hacked down Andrea Pisanu on the counter-attack.

Torino were very ineffective upfront, but finally became dangerous when Alvaro Recoba's cross for Alessandro Rosina was cleared with great difficulty.

Parma deservedly took the lead on 62 minutes, as another chaotic move finally fell to Reginaldo for a close-range finish.

Toro crumbled at the back and moments later Corradi took advantage of their confusion. Pisanu only touched the Ferdinand Coly cross, but Corradi was clear to tap in at the back post.
